Overview

The Emotional Intelligence Coaching Certification (EICC) is an intensive program, on par with graduate and professional-level studies, that provides participants access to the only coaching certification and suite of EI offerings. Unlike other models of EI, the methodology of our program is based on the latest research and insights neuroscience has to offer on the topic, not just of emotions but of perceptions and how we can work skillfully with both in our day-to-day lives.

The EICC incorporates the following in-person and virtual learning components, providing students and their clients with a unique and evidence-based framework for EI development:

  • Two, in-person residencies and nine months of coach-supervised coursework, including extensive coaching practice.
  • Evidence-based content created by leading experts in the fields of EI, Neuroscience, Leadership Development, and Coaching.
  • The guidance, expertise, and support of our Meta-Coaches (expert-level coaches).
  • Assessments and real-time feedback on progress.
  • A comprehensive toolkit of practices and micro-techniques adaptable for individual clients and large organizations.
  • An active community of peers and experienced coaches to consult with and foster mutual growth.

Our Commitment

Research has shown that EI can positively shape our relationships and our outcomes—at work and in life—yet developing the suite of EI competencies in a lasting and effective way can be a challenge without the support and guidance of a qualified coach.

Drawing upon evidence-based techniques, real-time feedback, and an applied coaching model, our aim is simple: to give coaches a framework to help their clients build Emotional Intelligence. We strive towards a transformative growth experience that brings beneficial impact not only to the clients you serve, but their entire circle of influence, the organizations in which they play a role, and society at large.

Ignite New Career Opportunities

All of our EI Coaching graduates in-house coaches are trained and certified through our EICC program. After graduating from the program, participants have the following options:

  • Work as an EI Associate, Content Creator and Course Instructor, and/or an EI Certified Coach working with our corporate clients.
  • Participate in continued education opportunities.
  • Ongoing access to our coaching tools.

Emotional Intelligence Coaching Certification (EICC): A Closer Look

Our Methodology

The Emotional Intelligence Coaching Certification Program (EICC) uses a unique, scientifically-supported framework to strengthen the Emotional Intelligence (EI) of coaches and their clients. The program draws upon evidence-based behavioral change theory, positive psychology, unconscious bias, mindfulness and compassion training, and neuroscience. Students receive in-person and practice-based training in these concepts, as well as in the latest neuroscience of perception and emotion.

After you are certified, your clients will benefit from:

  • A clear path to develop their self-agency and inner coach.
  • Increased capacity for self-awareness, focus, and empathy.
  • The ability to find and sustain emotional balance in times of stress.
  • Stronger and more effective relationships.
  • Improved engagement, well-being, and performance.
  • A functional understanding of how to apply Emotional Intelligence in everyday situations.
  • The capacity to embrace complexity and navigate interdependencies.
  • The ability to create and thrive in transparent, feedback-rich environments.
  • The ability to operate with a clear vision of the greater good—beyond individual or organizational goals.

EI Coaching Philosophy

We see the role of a coach as that of an advocate and a catalyst for the client’s positive transformation. This helps clients to:

  • Discern what they do and do not have control over.
  • Find their personal agency and influence.
  • See the best in themselves, in others, and in situations.
  • Realize the impact their habits of mind have on their outlook and results.
  • Discover/rediscover their purpose and values.
  • Understand how they get stuck in their own mental models and how to spot and break unproductive patterns.
  • Find and channel their inner coach long after formal coaching is complete.

We take the position that a great coach provides the following for their clients:

  • Brings a point of view
  • Confirms hunches
  • Is okay being wrong
  • Is kind, calm, and clear
  • Is direct and respectful
  • Creates personal safety
  • Keeps confidentiality
  • Is fluid and adaptable, not prescribed or mechanical
  • Has impeccable listening skills
  • Applies the mindset and practices they advocate
  • Is able to see patterns in a client’s perceptions and behaviors and brings them to the client’s attention in a thoughtful, nonjudgmental manner
