Many of us are familiar with the health benefits of regular exercise.  Research shows that regular exercise reduces blood pressure and inflammation, increases strength, helps us sleep better and even helps us live a longer life.  With all the proven benefits, why is it still so hard for many of us to make exercise part of our everyday life?     

In this episode of BEI Live, we will be talking about how to put Emotional Intelligence into action to help you create an exercise routine and stick to it.

Sarah Kivel is a Leadership and Performance Coach based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF) and a certified Goleman Emotional Intelligence Meta Coach.  Sarah is also the Author of SWEAT, Success With Empathy And Trust. She is a Lapin International Lead by Greatness® Consultant and Coach. And, Sarah is a BeyondEI faculty member and Meta Coach.

Strengthening leadership from the inside out is Sarah’s approach to developing high performers. Sarah brings her experience, knowledge, skill and enthusiasm to leaders in various industries across the globe, including, technology, finance, healthcare, sports, hospitality, and education.  As an entrepreneur, Sarah has been part of executive leadership in both the for profit and non-profit sectors.  Her prior experience includes global manufacturing, marketing, international sales and leadership through an initial public offering. 

As a lifelong athlete, Sarah founded the non-profit organization eiFOCUS® whose mission is to empower women and girls in sports with the leadership skills of Emotional Intelligence so that female athletes can thrive in sport and in life.  She is also a speaker and the host of The Focused Athlete podcast. She is also a National Academy Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer and a 500 hour yoga teacher.

Wendy Chin is the Founder of Pinnacle HR, a boutique HR and Talent consultancy who specialize in Executive Search and Executive Coaching. She is the strategic partner to Boards and Executive Teams to advise on organizational strategy, executive recruitment, talent development, and building emotionally intelligent leaders.

Native of California, Wendy enjoys keeping fit with her 4 children; escaping for autumn sun in Sicily; and, passionate about creating a positive ripple effect in the lives of others.
