We believe Emotional Intelligence is the foundation for a better world. Our clients agree!
Embodying Emotional Intelligence is the baseline for our ability to navigate all of our perceptions more wisely. By developing our own awareness and the various perspectives it affords us along with a practice of conscious sensemaking, we can each take greater responsibility for how we act upon our perceptions and emotions.
We believe Emotional Intelligence is the foundation for a better world. Our clients agree.
We are excited to share that our platform to democratize Emotional Intelligence through its practical application is expanding beyond the bounds of how we originally conceived of the scope and meaning of our work as well as our identity in the process.
We have made the conscious decision to expand beyond the Goleman brand and model of EI to include other equally important and relevant voices in the field inviting us to reimagine what it means to be emotionally intelligent.
Recent neuroscience findings on perception and emotion as constructed experiences holds important insights and implications for how we can work with not only our emotions but our perceptions more skillfully and effectively.
By developing our own awareness and the various perspectives it affords us along with a habit of conscious sensemaking, we can each take greater responsibility for our actions and our outcomes. What could be more important than recognizing and acting skillfully upon what we have influence over?
We are grateful to Daniel Goleman and other thought leaders in the field for the seminal work they have done to lay the groundwork in the theory of Emotional Intelligence.
And we feel now is the time to expand beyond the relatively few voices to whom we have historically looked for insight in this space to a more diverse collection of voices, across a variety of disciplines, on how we can apply and embody the wisdom of EI to benefit each other and this planet.
It is with that intent, we are rebranding the name of our company from Goleman EI to Beyond EI, moving away from our singular affiliation with Daniel Goleman, as we continue to expand our work and support our Emotional Intelligence Certified Coaches across the globe as we endeavor to live and embody what it means to BEI!

Discover the hidden inner workings of your mind so you can break unhelpful habits and set yourself on the path to achieving your full potential.
Beyond Emotional Intelligence reveals how our ingrained mental tendencies can either help or hinder us, depending on how conscious we are of their influence over our lives. Whether we seek to set and achieve our desired outcomes, improve our relationships, or live in alignment with what we value most, we need emotional intelligence (EI) to identify and overcome the mental patterns that may be keeping us stuck.
In this book, you’ll embark on 12 Self-Discoveries that will help you get to know yourself, so you can stop getting in your own way. You’ll learn how, with practice, you can retrain your mind to develop new thought patterns that will serve you better as you work toward your life’s aspirations.
Leaders who invest in Emotional Intelligence training for themselves and their organizations develop the following critical skills that drive business results:
Emotional Intelligence (EI) differentiates top performers beyond IQ and technical abilities. The Harvard Business Review calls it “a key leadership skill,” and the World Economic Forum named Emotional Intelligence as a core work-related skill, which is predicted to “be in higher demand across industries than narrow technical skills.” EI enables us to understand and navigate our own emotions as well as our relationships. This skill set is vital throughout our lives—whether we’re leading a team, raising a family, or simply want to make a positive impact in the world.
We have supported initiatives as diverse as the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, the DQ Institute, in association with the World Economic Forum, and the daily life of schools, hospitals, and businesses across the world. We believe that everyone is a leader; we all impact others through our relationships.
Beyond EI translates theory into accessible and transformative practices linked to habit change. Our programs offer scalable and experiential learning, empowering individuals and organizations to bring about the positive change they want to see in the world.
Join our global community to bring EI training to your team or organization as a force for good.
We are thrilled to announce the rebrand of our company name from Goleman EI to Beyond EI and the expansion of our global programs to include a growing body of neuroscientific research that draws more intentionally from diverse and relevant voices in the field. Though, we remain deeply grateful to Daniel Goleman and his contributions to the field of Emotional Intelligence, we have transitioned away from the use and licensing of his brand.
